The need for professional debate about PAS

The author refers to the article of Namyslowska, Heitzman and Siewierska about the Parental Alienation Syndrome - PAS [1] pointing that it is worth to be discussed by professionals. Some important topics for this dispute were proposed: need of scientific verification of Gardner's proposals, propriety of using PAS as psychiatric disorders, complement of conditions of aetiology, diagnosis, symptoms, prevention, neutralization and therapy, which Gardner did not take into consideration in his black and white conception. Particular attention should be paid to the abilities and limitations of cooperation among professionals or different fields: judges, experts, advisors, mediators and therapists.
